Christopher Radko Emerald City Dome Italian Ornament. HTF Christopher Radko Emerald City ornament. This was displayed once. Made by the De Carlini workshop in Italy for the Christopher Radko brand. This piece is the crowning jewel that finishes the Wizard Of Oz series made in Italy. This is a wonderful depiction of the Emerald City from The Wizard Of Oz movie. Features the Emerald City, comprises of individual mouth blown towers. The yellow brick road is hand painted on the base, leading towards fields of red poppies, and the city in the background. A majestic rainbow shines behind the city. This piece is large, measuring approximately 10.5 inches tall by 5 inches wide and deep. A true masterpiece that is getting difficult to find. Christopher Radko Italian EMERALD CITY Wizard of Oz Glass Christmas Ornament
Rare Radko Italian EMERALD CITY. This is a rare, exceptional ornament. It’s really hard to come by. There is a rainbow painted on the globe which looks like it’s over the Emerald city. There are also beautiful glitter dots on the outside of the globe. The Emerald City inside the globe is made up of separate blown glass pieces. There are poppy flowers around the city just like in the movie. There is a yellow brick road painted on the front of the ornament leading up to the city. The red painting around the road is supposed to symbolize the field of poppies also. There is a small area on the back where there is a minor flaw / scratch to the paint. I’m guessing from it hanging on the tree. I’ve never hung it but it was hung by it’s previous owner. The tags are still attached to this piece. No chips, cracks, or breakage of any kind.
