Radko FRUIT MANCHU 95-267-0 EXTREMELY RARE Prductin Sample MINT
Radko FRUIT MAN CHU (Fruit Manchu) 95-267-0. HARD to FIND & RARELY AVAILABLE. When new ornaments are introduced the designers work directly with the glass plants to ensure the item turns out the way they intended it to. Once the designer is satisfied, the plant produces a few and sends them to the US for approval. When they arrive, one of them is selected and considered the final production sample the plants will use as a guide for additional production once the orders are placed. That sample then gets hung on a tree to take orders from but prior to opening a permanent showroom in Chicago, these trees were disassembled after the gift show and rather than storing the items to re-hang the following year they were made available to people who worked in the building. While some are fairly obvious, others are quite sophisticated going to great lengths to fool you, including but not limited to duplicating the hang tags & orament cap design that many people use as a way to authenticate. One is a green drop with fruit and the other is a pink drop with fruit. Overall this in GREAT condition. I try to take pictures of imperfections so please look at pictures. Christopher Radko Ornament 103830 Tuitti FRUITI Ice Cream Sundae trimmed with Fruit. Preowned, one owner from my personal collection. This ornament was displayed on our family tree, stored in a lined chest during off seasons. Charming novelty piece for your collection. During his ownership, Christopher Radko commissioned production runs for each of his ornament designs then, broke the mold. His ornaments are hard to find. Very early Radko fruit ornament. From 1988 comes this very rare, and difficult to find Radko ornament. This “vintage” Pear Ornament is simple yet exquisitely detailed, it is new and never displayed. “Pear can be found on page 68 of Christopher Radko “The First Decade 1986 – 1995. “Pear” does not come with a tag, as was the case with older Radko’s. Ultra Rare Christopher Radko FRUIT IN BALLOON Christmas Ornament 1991 Gold Wire
DESCRIPTION: Christopher Radko’s superb “Fruit in Balloon” Christmas ornament. Measures about 5.5 tall. Dates to 1991, Radko’s sixth year of production and Fruit In Balloon was approximately his 3rd ornament to utilize the old German gold-wire technique. Per “Radko, the First 10 Years” [collector's reference book], Fruit in Balloon was the only gold wire ornament in the 1991 collection. Well signed “Radko” on the cap and guaranteed authentic. The pics tell the rest of the story. CONDITION: Gold wire sags slightly in places due to age but is at least 98% intact overall. Retains at least 98% of its glitter and its painted color. Minimal evidence of age (25 years) and wear but NO damage or problems whatsoever. Please note this is an estate item and I don’t have any type of original retail store packaging for you, I have only the ornament itself as shown.
