Christopher Radko Disney Peter Pan ornament complete box set
This Christopher Radko “Peter Pan” Disney box set is a superb collectible find. Mouth blown and hand crafted fine Polish glass Christmas tree decorations, 1998. Produced in 1998 as part of a limited edition of 5000 boxed sets, the incredible set of European hand blown glass ornaments have become the jewel of most Radko and Disney collections. The outstanding design and execution captures the excitement of the Peter Pan adventures! Wonderfully designed Peter Pan demonstrating his youthful athleticism as he flies with the fairy dust swirling about him. He’s calling Wendy and the boys to join him in his new adventure. Wendy stands with the two Darling boys, Michael with his top hat and glasses, and John with his teddy bear. Peter Pan is beckoning that they join him on an adventure. John’s ready to go. There is a momentary hesitation by the other two. The beautifully designed rendition of the mischievous Tinker Bell creates spiral clouds of magical fairy dust as she speedily lands. Superb rendition of Captain Hook as he rubs his chin with his hook, attempting to look his “debonair”, somewhat arrogant best and menacing with his unsheathed saber in hand. The sails are fully displayed. The captain’s deck has the pirate flag waving in the wind. Watch out Peter Pan and the Darling children, Captain Hook is at your heels! Sizes: These five ornaments have terrific presence. Peter Peter Pan and Tinker Bell are each 6 inches tall. The Darling Children are 7 inches tall. Rare Christopher Radko Christmas Ornament Partridge In A Pear Tree 12 Days
RARE CHRISTOPHER RADKO CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE 12 DAYS CHRISTMAS. This is a rare rendition of “Partridge in a Pear Tree” the first in the 12 Days of Christmas series. And handpainted by highly skilled Artisan’s for Christopher Radko. This one seems to be a little different than most. Of the others that I see listed. I think that this could be a prototype. It comes from the collection of an avid collector. Who had access to a great many rare and limited pieces. Decorations in California, Zender’s. One of the things that I notice about the piece is that the top metal hanger has. Rounded edges on the bottom of the tabs, all of the other ones seem to be pointed and is clearly stamped RADKO. Also, there is very little of the. Sugary type glitter that seems to encompass all the other pieces that I’ve seen, this one has just a little and confined. To the area where the two molds are joined. Also, there is a hangtag in the box that it came in and it is marked that. It is from the Czech Republic and all the others seem to be from Poland. Now, I don’t know that this hangtag really. Goes with this item, but it does have a woven silver cord type string on the tag, which is also unusual for any tag. All of these clues lead me to believe that this ornament is different from the numbered limited edition, which was marked. And numbered in that manner. And another difference is that the bird is definitely cherry red and all of the pears are trimmed. In a solid band of the same color, some of the birds appear to be black. The tree trunk itself is also the same color cherry red and the foliage is lime green not the deep green that is represented of page 106 of “The First Decade”. Decide for yourself, but I think that this one is rarer than the regular limited production pieces. It is the same dimensions as the others, 7 tall and is free of chips or cracks.
