Christopher Radko Winter Nest Rare 1995 Ornament Red Bird Diorama Snowy Trees
This is “Winter Nest” , #95 257 0, from Christopher Radko, from 1995 which is the only year this design was produced. This ornament very rarely comes up for sale. It features a pair of red handblown glass birds perched in a cotton nest inside of a blue globe, the globe is painted with green trees and falling snow inside and white snow covered trees around the outside. This very rare ornament is in excellent condition with just one small spot of paint loss on blue globe, no other paint chips or cracks, tag is still attached. Measures 4.5 tall. This ornament with its concave front is stunning on on the Christmas tree as it really glows when surrounded by lights. They come from a longtime collector who kept them in pristine condition. These 1995 Radko sets of “And Snowy Makes Eight” are a limited edition and come sealed in the original plastic with numbered tag and in both the original inner and outer boxes. We recently found these in a box we kept when we retired and closed our shop, The Christmas House on Cape Porpoise in Maine. Snow White is about 4 3/4″tall and the Dwarfs about 3″.
