LE #2/80 CHRISTOPHER RADKO Marshall Fields ANGEL OF MERCY Christmas Ornament VTG
Extremely Limited Edition from 2002. 2 of 80 — #2 of only 80! Jumbo Sized — nearly 14 tall — Glass Ornament. Created for Marshall Field’s Beloved State Street Walnut Room Christmas Tree. Here we have a very scarce, very desirable, numbered Christopher Radko Christmas tree ornament with a very limited edition — number 2 of 80. We have five different jumbo ornaments from the same special limited edition Field’s collection with very low, single-digit numbers, including one numbered #1. These come to us fresh from the auctioning off of a collection of pieces Mr. Radko personally chose to have set aside for a special library project that never came to fruition. Please see our store for more of these very special “Library” pieces. Vintage: These were produced for the 2002 Field’s great tree. Please see our photos for the best description of this piece’s condition. Enlarge and zoom in on them, and please ask questions about anything you see in them that doesn’t seem “excellent” to you. This piece hung from the Big Tree in the Walnut Room of the Marshall Field flagship store on State Street in Chicago, around which so many families’ Christmas traditions were built and memories were made. Very bright and shiny paint with so much depth in the glass, fresh and clean, with no chips, cracks or scratches. There is hot glue residue on the metal cap — the caps were hot-glued to. Keep the ornaments from falling off of the Big Tree and breaking. All of the ornaments from this collection that we’ve seen have hot glue residue on their hangers. The certificate of authenticity states #2 of 80, and explains the special history of this collection. Comes with its original box with the label, 02-MAR-03B denoting the year 2002, MARshall Fields, and its coloration. Due to the high value of this item and its fragility, it ships this way only: triple-boxed, within its original box, which is then boxed up carefully, which is then boxed up carefully in another box, which is then sent via Fed Ex, insured, with signature confirmation. We pack for the Apocalypse — it’s not pretty, nor is it cheap, but it is very, very effective. Non-smoking environment, and we’ll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (or anything else) from activities they may have been involved in before we found them. Rare Christopher Radko Marshall Field Christmas Ornament First Day Of Christmas
The figure is in a fabulous dress, which was designed by Kelley Stribling Sutherland and portrays a “Partridge in Pear Tree”. This ornament comes in its’ original box, bag and hangtag. This very colorful glass piece was handblown by artisans in Poland and will never be made again. The girl stands 6 tall, carries a parasol and wears a South American hat. Don’t miss this opportunity to add this piece to your collection. This piece looks like it has some sort of initials on the base, which I photographed and was a very limited edition and this one is number 2871 of only a mere 3000.
