Vintage – Magenta Floral Clip Ornament. This “Cockle Bell” ornament is new and has never been displayed. This is a very rare, retired, German made Radko ornament, that you seldom find for sale. “Cockle Bell” is a delicate, magenta flower with a deep orange throat, on a long, slender green stem with fabric leaves. There is even a clapper, inside the flower, so that the bell can actually ring. Due to hand painting, there are a few very tiny paint “blemishes” on the stem, near the top. “Cockle Bell” comes with its tag, and in a Radko box. Christopher Radko Fantasia Floral Tapestry Box Set Of 6 Ornaments Stunning
An estate sale find, these are stunning vintage ornaments from Christopher Radko. Clearly these were treated very gently as they are in excellent pre-owned condition and are in original Fantasia box with information leaflet. There is very minor scuffing from use and some of the metal hanging loops have dulled – please check photos for details. But they really are in lovely condition and I had to look hard for any blemishes. Six tear-drop shaped mouth blown 4 hand painted glass ornaments with delicate floral design. Very vibrant colors and all have original Radko charm. I believe that these were released in 2001. They are quite stunning. 10% of proceeds will be donated to Jackson Galaxy Foundation to help animals at risk. Traditional folk designs of Central European artists from the 1930′s are the basis of Christopher Radko’s Fantasia, a vibrant collection of themes & motifs faithfully translated into lustrous glass decorations. After reviving authentic shapes for glassblowers to fashion into free-blown, molten glass. Christopher replicated vintage patterns & colors from folk art with utmost care. Now the glorious variations of Fantasia are created in cottage workshops in the very regions where they were born! These ornaments evokes the artistic tradition of Faberge & Cartier when they crafted bejeweled miniature for European royalty. Look at the golden cap that crowns this ornament for the sign of an authentic Christopher Radko creation, the letters R-A-D-K-O.
