Ornament has its original “Made in Italy” tag. It measures 7 tall. Also included is a Radko box, not the original for this ornament, but still protective and branded. 1999 Christopher Radko Carousel of Dreams Blown Glass Christmas Ornament 10 Inch
This edition of the ornament is the original one from 1999 that has been retired. There were only 2500 of these made. This Ornament is about 10 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide. Its outstandingly gorgeous and in excellent condition, the tag is off it, but I don’t remember if I ever put it on the tree. I looked hard and I see no defects, the huge sturdy presentation box it comes in does help preserve it. I have added a lot of photos to describe the wonderful condition and detail work. Rare 1999 Limited Edition Christopher Radko Carousel Of Dreams/ Original Box
This is a new, limited edition Christopher Radko Christmas ornament – Sterling Rider, made in Italy in 1998, it features. This awesome piece from Christopher Radko that transcends all other pieces. The production was limited to 2500 pieces, this ornament is #640/2500. This ornament is new, with original hangtag, free of chips or cracks, depicts swans in an aqua glitter circling a stunningly beautiful carousel and stands 10 tall. It was hand blown and hand painted in Europe by highly skilled artisans. The carousel is beautifully painted and the entire ensemble is highly reflective silver, peach and bronze. Carousel top, base, and swans’ neck, wings and tail are highlighted with sparkling glitter. Some manufacturing defects exist – one small spot on base, three small spots on the top, spot on tip at base and not all points on the top of the carousel have interior silvering (see photos #7,8, & 9). This ornament was only available at Starbright and Rising Star stores and will never be made again. Comes with its’ own hard sided red box with original wrapping, some sticker residue and a raised area on the end of the lid. From our vast collection of Christopher Radko – all are pre-2005 when he divested himself of the Company. Of the most highly prized of Christopher Radko’s master works of Christmas ornaments, this one – “CAROUSEL OF DREAMS” – is my personal favorite. I guess it’s that I still believe in fantasies & storybook endings! Production for this exceptional beauty took over a year to complete & was supposedly limited to just 2500 pieces; however, p. Roduction was stopped prior to the full number being made. His particular ornament is number 690. This RARE & FANTASTIC find. Was only available at Starlight & Rising Star stores &. “CAROUSEL OF DREAMS” features 3 white & pink swans swimming around a center post. They are swimming in a carpet of turquoise glittered “water”. Above them is a reflective ceiling of silver. The top & bottom are extraordinarily hand painted, & it’s almost unbelievable that it is all made of delicate mouth blown glass. The rooftop has floral paintings on a blush background & a salmon colored rim. Like “STERLING RIDER”, this is one of the most fantastic pieces I have ever seen & certainly most skillfully executed. “CAROUSEL OF DREAMS” is complete as a collectible with its original hard walled red collector’s box & original RADKO hang tag. However, it does not have RADKO’s metal charm on the crown ring BECAUSE THAT CHARM WAS NOT INTRODUCED UNTIL THE YEAR 2000. ADDITIONALLY, FROM 1986 UNTIL THE END OF 2001, ALL THE HANGER RINGS ATTACHED WITH THE CROWN WERE CIRCULAR. Is a true, whimsical work of art – highly. Sought after for its detailed, hand painting. Mouth blown & hand painted by Italian artists who create fabulous ornaments using techniques that date back to the 1800′s. “CAROUSEL OF DREAMS” is an absolute must-have for any serious Radko collector.
