Hello there and thank you for your interest in my listed item. Christopher Radko Disney 1998 “BELLE” Beauty & the Beast Princess Ornament #1221. As you can see by the tag this is # 1221 of 5000 Belles that were made. Will come in original box, with tag that used to be attached to it. Take advantage of eBays photo enlargement feature for a detailed view of this lovely ornament. Years ago my little sister used to babysit for a lady the used to work for Christopher Radko. Every year she was given a Christmas ornament from her. This is one of a few ornaments I will be listing on her behalf. My sister has used this to decorate her tree for many years but has always kept it well protected when not in use. No cracks or chips or damage to the ornament. From David Strand Designs’s Italian Collection : “Beauty and the Beast”. Set of 5 Ornaments. Produced in Italy in 2008. A charming interpretation of characters from Beauty and the Beast produced in Italy for David Strand Designs. Beauty and the Beast is a fairy tale written by French novelist Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve and first published in 1740. Since then the tale has been rewritten numerous times and adapted for stage, television and film productions, notably by Disney in 1991. That film was Disney’s 30th animated feature, went on to be extremely successful at the box office and along the way won a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar. Beauty and the Beast tells the story of an arrogant young man who was cursed and magically transformed into a monster while his servants were transformed into household objects. To break the curse the Beast must learn to love and be loved in return before the last pedal falls from an enchanted rose. This set of 5 ornaments pays tribute to Beauty and the Beast through representations of several of the household objects in the story: Miss Armoire/The Wardrobe #0706401 7″, Candelabra/Lumiere #0706201 4 3/4″, Tick Tock/Cogsworth #0706301 6 1/2 and Tea For Two/Mrs. Potts & Chip #0706101 5″ & 4″. The set of ornaments is a testament to the skills and resourcefulness of the artisans who created them. They were all free-blown, requiring the skill of extremely talented glassblowers.
