Hand-blown in Poland using traditional techniques, this colorful ornament is a must-have for any Disney or Alice in Wonderland fan. This item was used one Christmas, hanging on a special metal tree for glass ornaments. Then it was put back in its box and stored in a plastic container for years. Somewhere along the way, I lost the tag for it. But it is a truly beautiful piece and would delight any Disney or Alice in Wonderland fan. Here’s a little info on Alice in Wonderland I found on Wikipedia. Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is based on Lewis Carroll’s 1865 novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and its 1871 sequel Through the Looking-Glass. The production was supervised by Ben Sharpsteen, and was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske. With the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, Verna Felton, J. Pat O’Malley, Bill Thompson, and Heather Angel, the film follows a young girl Alice who falls down a rabbit hole to enter a nonsensical world Wonderland that is ruled by the Queen of Hearts, while encountering strange creatures, including the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. Here’s a little info I found out about Christopher Radko ornaments from his website. Once upon a Holiday Night, a Christmas tree fell and startled the Radko family household. With more than 1,000 vintage mouth-blown glass ornaments broken to bits, Christopher was distraught. Searching endlessly to replace them, he found nothing quite good enough to replace his treasured memories. He soon realized that the only option was to start from scratch. Thus began the creation of Christopher Radko ornaments. With nothing but his Christmas memories to build upon, Christopher enlisted a Polish glassblower and went to work recreating his family’s lost heirlooms. The project went so well that by 1985 sixty unique designs were debuted and a respected business was created. Today, after thirty-five years of designing and creating, Christopher Radko® has produced more than eighteen million fine European glass ornaments that have become a part of family traditions across the United States.

Created for Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary, Radko created some very hard to get ornaments limited to 1955 each, not individually numbered. This one features Disneyland’s TOMORROWLAND with the Goofy in a spaceship, dressed in spacesuit. Radko Disney is NEW, Never Used or Displayed, With Original Box & Tag. For over thirty years, the Christopher Radko Company has captured the hearts of millions of Americans with extraordinary hand-crafted ornaments. The radiance and originality of each piece brings joy into households throughout the world during the holiday season. Each of the designs begins as an intricate illustration created by Radko artists. Then the year-long process of sculpting, molding, and sampling begins. At the production stage, family-owned European factories use centuries-old techniques to blow, silver, hand-lacquer and embellish each and every ornament. This process requires a full seven days to complete. They have been stored in a cool basement in acid free paper. Some boxes may show slight aging.
